Dana Corporation is seeking to fill the position of Production Supervisor in Henderson, KY.
Job Description & Responsibilities
o Supervisor all employees in your department and manage the flow of production
o Forward thinking and self-motivated in continuous improvement production systems.
o Assure 5S throughout facility
o Focus on improving product and process capability
o Able to coach and give disciplinary notices to employees when necessary.
o Schedule and post overtime requirements when necessary.
o Liaison to Team Leaders on all Shifts (Coach, Lead, & Direct)
o Willing to accept phone calls during off hours
o Actively participate in all aspects of quality control as it relates to daily production
o Involved in problem solving and corrective actions related to production issues.
o Verify work standards / set up sheets, quality checkpoint sheets and all other production related documents are present at the point of use and up to date and employees follow them.
o Analyze repairs and scrap trends on daily basis and implement immediate and long term corrective actions to achieve yearly scrap goals and plant efficiency.
o Monitor vacation/bonus days and attendance of employees in your department.
o Update and assess employee-training matrix at all times.
o Lead and audit shop floor safety and training for employees in your department
o Supports, enforces and complies with all company policies and procedures.
o In charge of completing performance evaluations on employees.
o Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Experience:
o 5 plus years manufacturing experience
o 3 plus years supervisory experience
o Solution orientated with the ability to investigate and analyze data for problem solving
o Project Management skills and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
o Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to think and act cross-functionally
o Basic mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail focus
o Ability to work in a fast paced, highly complex setting
Education:
o Bachelor degree in manufacturing, management, or equivalent preferred
