Essential job
Responsibilities:
Communication:
Daily communication with 20
CDL drivers, yard spotters, local delivery drivers and overthe-road drivers.
Work with customers, drivers, vendors, management, and HR.
Ability to communicate with other dispatchers.
Reporting skills:
Use of PeopleNet, TMW, eLogs, Trip Manager, DOT, Company Compliance, medical, TotalMail - ability to assist drivers and keep track of their work/hours as need/required.
Tracking/reporting.
Safety Program, Incidents, etc.
Use of proper documentation for all reporting.
Relationship Building:
Builds positive relations with drivers, other dispatchers, managers, the Mill, customers, vendors.
Works with other employees for mutual good.
Safety:
Follow safety protocol.
Track/report.
Monitor driver performance and report issues to Management.
Review/inspect equipment & report issues timely.
Response Time:
Handle all incoming calls and ensure timely responses to customers, vendors, drivers, carriers, etc.
, communicate issues with drivers and Dispatch Supervisor.
Escalate issues as necessary.
All other duties as assigned.
The Company assesses applicants on standards for performance, stability, dependability, and honesty.
A college degree is preferred, but not required.
Previous dispatch experience is required, minimum 3 years.
Requirements:
Reports to Logistics Manager.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
