Facilitate the efficient operation of the employee child care administrative office and provide clerical/technical services for the child care's administrative staff.

Education/Certification:
Minimum - Associates Degree in Business Administration Special Knowledge/Skills:
Proficient skills in typing, word processing, and file maintenance Advanced math skills Knowledge and implementation of Kentucky child care guidelines and state licensing Demonstrates insight into child and adult behavior Strong organizational, communication, public relations, computer skills and interpersonal skills Ability to problem solve creatively and resourcefully.
Excellent listening skills with the ability to give and receive feedback.
Attention to detail and ability to multi-task within each call and as part of the call follow-up and delivery of referral and parent information packets.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, cultural relevancy and inclusion is required.
Knowledge of child development and child care is preferred.
Experience:
Three to five years of administrative experience, preferably in an early childhood education environment Two years working in a K-12 school or child care setting (preferred) Two years office manager experience (preferred) CDA (preferred) Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Assume responsibility for the organization, operation, and distribution of work in the office Assist President with yearly budgets and create monthly and end of the year tax statements Supervise the collection, deposit, and maintenance of records of all monetary transactions for budget purposes Do all electric cash reports (receipts) & maintain records for tuition, registration, supply fees, & fundraisers Maintain proper files to include inventory of school supplies, mailing lists, student records, employee records, and office communications Act as liaison between the center, parents, vendors, and community partners Oversee the maintenance of the child & employee files according to Kentucky state requirements Attend professional development seminars to maintain an understanding of the current best practices of curriculum and administrative functions of a child development program Order supplies for the center throughout the school year & in the summer from office, warehouse, & vendors Create work orders for items needing repair or service at the centers Assist in planning for enrollment of families including classroom tours & summer training with staff Update & print training manual/ materials for staff Create & maintain staff records, new hire folders and certificates required by Kentucky state requirements Maintain childcare website with updated information, current articles, photographs, and marketing Prepare instructional materials, including power points, meeting agendas, and child care communications as requested Work with students, parents, teachers, staff and supervisors to maintain effective communications Follow all rules, regulations, and policies of KW and follow directives from superiors Follow attendance policy Perform other functions that may be assigned by the Administration and/or President Seek out and maintain community partners Create and implement marketing concepts Maintain KW logo and distribution Manage front desk operations, including greeting parents and visitors and answering phone calls.
